The Reconciliation Analyst is primarily tasked with determining discrepancies between the banking, supplier/vendor, merchant/customer, and logistics operations in the company.
Location: Abuja, PHC, Jos, and Kano
Job Responsibilities
â— Liaise, consult, and work closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to facilitate payments to suppliers/vendors and receipts from merchants/customers.
â— Reconcile inflows and outflows to bank statements to ensure that the accounting records accurately reflect the confirmed transactions during the relevant period.
â— Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating, and posting accounts receivable/payable data.
â— Perform robust vendor, customer, and bank reconciliations.
â— Assist in transaction matching between AP, AR, Treasury modules and bank statements for the Company’s bank accounts.
â— Assess reconciliation policies and procedures and recommend improvements.
â— Ensure reconciliation of funds and positions, and prepare the relevant reconciliation reports as and when due.
â— Conduct vendor and customer account analyses to identify, manage and report trends, risks, and discrepancies.
â— Support the month-end process.
â— Perform any ad-hoc tasks as may be directed by the Treasury Manager or Head of Finance.
Job Requirements
â— Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study.
â— Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible reconciliation experience, preferably in accounting, treasury, or e-commerce.
â— Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
â— Experience reconciling accounting figures and financial records with the ability to analyze differences, perform investigations, identify, and correct errors, and summarize results for reconciling items.
â— Appropriate handling of sensitive information.
