Job Summary

            The Reconciliation Analyst is primarily tasked with determining discrepancies between the banking, supplier/vendor, merchant/customer, and logistics operations in the company.

Location: Abuja, PHC, Jos, and Kano

 

Job Responsibilities

●             Liaise, consult, and work closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to facilitate payments to suppliers/vendors and receipts from merchants/customers.

●             Reconcile inflows and outflows to bank statements to ensure that the accounting records accurately reflect the confirmed transactions during the relevant period.

●             Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating, and posting accounts receivable/payable data.

●             Perform robust vendor, customer, and bank reconciliations.

●             Assist in transaction matching between AP, AR, Treasury modules and bank statements for the Company’s bank accounts.

●             Assess reconciliation policies and procedures and recommend improvements.

●             Ensure reconciliation of funds and positions, and prepare the relevant reconciliation reports as and when due.

●             Conduct vendor and customer account analyses to identify, manage and report trends, risks, and discrepancies.

●             Support the month-end process.

●             Perform any ad-hoc tasks as may be directed by the Treasury Manager or Head of Finance.

 

Job Requirements

●             Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study.

●             Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible reconciliation experience, preferably in accounting, treasury, or e-commerce.

●             Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.

●             Experience reconciling accounting figures and financial records with the ability to analyze differences, perform investigations, identify, and correct errors, and summarize results for reconciling items.

●             Appropriate handling of sensitive information.

●             Must exhibit the highest level of personal and professional integrity.

●             Ability to work to deadlines.

●             High level of attention to detail.

●             Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

●             Strong client relationship management and customer service skills.
