Our client, a Nigerian real estate investment company focused on rentals and development is looking to hire for this position. The accountant will provide support to the accounting department by handling general accounting tasks on a daily basis. Their primary duties include preparing financial statements, issuing receipts and invoices, following up on receivables, and updating the financial database.

Responsibilities:
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts and produce relevant financial and management reports;
Prepare, record, and process accounts receivable, account payable, and cash receipts. Prepare AR reports and ensure follow-up and collection of outstanding receivables;
General ledger accounting; Subsidiary Ledgers Accounting and reconciliation;
Set up invoices for payment;
Assist in the production of accounts for the company;
Maintain relationships with banks;
Adheres to all Federal, State, and local tax laws;
Retention and preparation of tax records, tax returns, and other required reports;
File tax returns, prepare related reports, and contribute to the production of statutory reports;
Payroll and Compensation analysis;
Prepare budget variance analysis and advise management accordingly;
Perform other duties as directed by the manager.
Requirements:
Academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Part or fully qualified accountant
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Required)
Strong organizational skills
Confident and good communication skills
Deadline orientated and able to work under pressure
Commitment to the company and a desire to develop
Integrity loyalty and team worker
Candidates with background in Consulting, Real Estate, Oil & Gas are preferred
