Role Description

This is a hybrid contract role located in Lagos, with flexibility for remote work. The APIGEE API Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing APIs using the Apigee platform. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and provide customized solutions, and will work together with software engineers to design, deploy and monitor secure APIs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Expertise in designing and developing APIs using Apigee platform, with at least 5 years of experience

Hands-on experience with RESTful web services, programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and relevant databases such as MongoDB, MySQL

Experience with Apigee API security best practices and policies like OAuth, SAML, TLS, KERBEROS

Experience with agile software development practices such as Scrum and Kanban

Experience with developing microservices architectures, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git

Good understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP

Knowledge of API monitoring, analytics, and reporting tools to track API usage and performance.

Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, and work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative teams

Experience with other API management platforms like Axway, Mulesoft, IBM, or Kong is a plus.

Professional certification in Apigee is a plus
