Job Summary

Responsibilities
Manage relationships with third-party accounting and auditing firms
Build, train and manage a team to own the International Accounting function
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status and meet various reporting requirements
Consolidation of at the moment 4 entities
Structure and implement and document harmonized Accounting Processes and tools throughout all entities e.g. harmonize expensify and airbase or something else?; 4-eyes-principle for all accounting processes
Cope with International GAAP (US, German, Canadian, Korean GAAP, other tax law)
Set accounting guidelines and “train” employees (e.g. expensify)
Manage accounting, auditing, tax, controls and procurement within the organization
Guide the business on accounting and tax treatments (e.g. VAT on invoices?)
Own preparations for audits and third party reviews as well as various tax filing required globally
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and prepare relevant tax and financial reporting
Use and maintain accounting software (currently Quickbooks Online) to maintain records and prepare reports
Manage international accounting staff, including delegation of tasks, mentorship, and career development
Coordinates with and prepares reports for FP&A and COO and upper management.
Collaborate with in-house and outside counsel in finding tax-efficient structures for segments of the company and the business as a whole
If applicable, propose implementation of different accounting tools, including ERP, crypto reconciliation, and any other software that will make the team more efficient
