Job Summary

Responsibilities

We are seeking a confident, analytical, and nimble Legal Operations Specialist to support our Legal Team, primarily focusing on record keeping, legal documentation processes and systems management
Develop and implement records management tools
Supervise the expansion and development of PL’s contract lifecycle management system
Track contractual and filing deadlines for legal / finance departments; be the key liaison to coordinate contract management and payment processes
Develop and implement system for responding to KYC requests
Create and maintain documentation for department processes and workflows
Develop and implement legal department strategies and tools to streamline new or existing practices
Develop and analyze data and metrics to measure performance and improvements
Identify and troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations and resolution options
Proficiency in [Microsoft Suite,] Google Suite [and Slack / Discord]


Requirements

Experience working with legal contracts and contract management systems and processes
Experience maintaining a records management function
Relevant experience with responding to rote KYC / AML compliance requests
Experience defining legal operations requirements and using data and metrics to measure improvements
Strong commitment to confidentiality and discretion, experience handling sensitive information with care
Creative approach to solving challenging problems
Experience at a top corporate law firm or in-house legal department (in-house experience preferred)
Excellent organization and communication skills
Skilled in using standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as Google suite products (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Strong professional and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners
Ability to multitask, effectively prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter, willing to take ownership and drive initiatives while reporting appropriately on progress made and escalating when difficulties are required
Superb attention to detail
