Job Summary

Teesas Education has developed a mobile learning app (Teesas Education App) targeted at children from preschool age to Primary 6 and also all age groups in learning local languages. Teesas provides high quality, indigenously adapted video tutorials from the best teachers in Nigeria, explaining foundational curriculum-aligned concepts with delivery in English and major Nigerian languages including Yoruba, Hausa , Igbo , Ijaw, Ibibio etc to ease understanding.

Teesas has been designed to imprint in young pupils the skills of literacy, numeracy, and communication. We also expose them to the elementary concepts of science and technology and you will see that the experience that we offer is wholesome and robust.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
• Write clean code to develop functional applications.
• Maintaining existing codebases in React, refactoring and writing unit and cross functional tests.
• Troubleshoot and debugging applications.
• Integrate designs and front facing elements of the Teesas website.
• Build reusable react components and integration with backend APIs.
• profiling and improving front-end performance and documenting our front-end codebase.
• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Gathering and addressing technical design requirements.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Liaise with other developers, product managers, content developers, devops and system administrators to identify new features and resolve complaints.

Qualification and Skills:

• At least 4 years of experience working with React/JavaScript.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Experience with browser-based debugging.
