Job Summary

Our client in the oil & gas industry is looking for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

 

Essential Duties

1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.

2. Project Coordination: Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.

3. Risk Management: Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements

4. Quality Control: Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions to ensure the project quality.

5. Budgeting: Analyze the profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects.

6. Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients and other project stakeholders.

Provide progress reports and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.

Generate regular progress reports for management and clients.

 

GENERAL DUTIES:

1. Ensure operations are carried out as per laydown procedures and standard safety methods are observed.

2. Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business operations to ensure smooth progress and profitability

3. Making sure safety regulations are followed.

4. Keeping employees motivated and organizing appropriate training

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:

Should possess 3-5 years of experience in Project Engineering in the Oil and Gas field.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Project Management Certified

COREN Certified

HSE certified.

 

SKILLS:

1. Excellent use of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking

4. Ability to handle multiple priorities

5. Excellent organizational skills

6. Proficient in either Microsoft Project, Primavera, or AutoCAD

7. Project management

8. Technical understanding in engineering principles, design techniques

9. Quality control processes

10. Problem solving skills.

11. Budgeting and cost control.

 

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Remuneration: N350k - N450k Monthly Net
