Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who possesses a passion for delivering business growth targets. The role is a key member of the senior sales management team, reporting only to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business development operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. You must also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethic.

You would have worked in a fast-growing startup before - ideally in a senior sales or business development role - and have the drive to always be in problem-solving mode in a highly ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement business development strategies, plans and procedures
  2. Set comprehensive goals for team performance and sales growth
  3. Develop strategic partnerships and nurture/manage key relationships
  4. Execute plans to grow B2C and B2B customer base
  5. Oversee daily operations of your assigned business development team
  6. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  7. Write and submit reports to the CSO in all matters of importance

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. 5+ years’ experience of which minimum 3 years in the sales or business development management level (some experience in an Ed-tech or online marketplace organization is an added advantage)
  2. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  3. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  4. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  5. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  6. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  7. BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MBA is a plus
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English)
  9. Exceptional team management skills
  10. Willingness to work and live in Lagos, Nigeria

 

Remuneration

  1. Base salary  ranging between 100k to 250k plus incentives based on meeting set targets.

 

Location

All states across Nigeria
